Tartar sauce is a must with my husband with Fried Fish. Before my 2 youngest, I would actually make the mayonnaise by hand, then make the tartar sauce, needless to say, that has gone to the wayside. Although, homemade mayonnaise is AMAZING! However, it doesn’t store long and it does take a little extra effort (which can be worth it, but because of the shelf life, it makes it a bit difficult for me to do all the time).
Homemade is absolutely the best!
When it comes to tartar sauce, I can say, homemade is absolutely the best and you can’t replicate it with store-bought, it’s not even close. The best part, you can adjust it to your taste. So here is the “recipe” or really how-to for you.
1 Cup of Mayonaise
1-2 Tbs dill relish
1-2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Put mayonnaise in a bowl, add relish and Worcestershire sauce and stir until combined.
Salt and pepper to taste (this is also where you can add any more of the above as well).
That’s it! Now you never have to buy tartar sauce again! Enjoy! 🙂
ENJOY and Share!
